September 9 Outreach
“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:12-13
That was today's word.
We feel God is again saying that He wants a personal relationship with our friends we serve. While intercessory prayer is important, He wants our friends to personally reach out to Him so He can comfort and guide them.
We were also able to have a baby shower for one of our friends who just had a baby. All the volunteers brought everything a baby and a new mother would need to start their family. They have a rough road living in a hotel with a new born: it has its challenges, so we wanted to ease some of the stress.
Clothing, hygiene items, and food were abundant... and, as usual, we were able to meet the needs of everyone who showed up. Prayer was abundant - so many people were hungry to feel's Gods touch.
