October 21 Outreach
"The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.”
Psalms 37:39-40.
Today I saw Jesus moving everywhere, whether it was something as simple as sandals for a person who didn't have any shoes or in a spaghetti dinner. Fresh Donuts brought lots of joy. We sometimes get caught up in the complexity's of the Bible and forget it the simple things that bring the most impact!
A mom came and said her son asked her to let God help them. When she walked outside and saw us, she asked us to pray for her and have God supply with her needs. She thanked Jesus for her 17 year old son's faith. That's Jesus in action!
We watched a little girl run up and just look for her friend, one of our volunteers. When the little girl saw her, she jumped into her harms and smile so big. It was also beautiful to see the volunteer's face light up when she saw the little girl.
Seeing the healing miracles Jesus has done with our friends and even the volunteers is also special. Seeing Karen and Wally Killman come to just say "hello" was so wonderful. Jesus is so good.
Talking with some long time friends today, I realized they understood what we mean when we say "God sees them". They know the provision comes from Him and that He sees them.
