September 10, 2022 Outreach
We had a theme today for outreach: "Going back to the basics". We server as the elders of our group and people we serve.
We also stood on James 5:14-15. “Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.”
James 5:14-15
We were short handed today but the Holy Spirit stood in and as we prayed today we saw the Holy Spirit move mightily.
We have a friend for a long time that has cursed us and spit at us. Today, she got on her knees to Jesus and prayed for Jesus to enter her life!
We have a friend who has visited us each day proclaiming he did not believe in God and point blank told us if it was a requirement to believe, he wouldn’t eat our food. However, today he was talking about surgery on Wednesday. I said I have respected your wishes since day 1...no requirements, but today I feel moved to ask you if we can pray with you. I told we pray for him on our own anyway. And he said "Yes, please pray for me." In the end we prayed with him.
Today we were allowed to pray for at least 85% of the people we seen.
Oh mighty Holy Spirit I am continually in awe of your power and love!
Oh yeah.. we served 156 meals and gave out hygiene items.
Looking forward to see the Lord move through Unite OKC tomorrow night!
