October 5 outreach
Today was truly a rollercoaster of emotions. We mourned the loss of two friends and a team member's father, and at the same time, we celebrated the housing of several individuals, with more scheduled to be housed this week. The Lord’s presence is evident each week, claiming this area through the Holy Spirit and pushing out the enemy.
We served a delightful dinner featuring pork or beef, alongside a chicken pasta dish. Thanks to the generous support of local restaurants, our food offerings continue to be a highlight. We were also well-stocked with clothes and hygiene supplies, ensuring that we had plenty to give out, along with Bibles. We're thrilled to announce that we are in the planning stages for a discipleship program. Today's verse, John 6:35, reminded us of our true purpose:
"Jesus replied, 'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'"
The passing of two friends—whose salvation status we were unsure of—has deepened our commitment to knowing the spiritual state of our community. While we provide food, clothing, and hygiene products, our ultimate mission is to share Jesus' love. Our goal is to love people as Jesus loves us.
