Today was full of surprises. When we arrived at our location there was another ministry there. Which (honestly) was God answering a prayer. Calvary missionary Baptist church was there cooking. We teamed up and served as a team.
Today's theme was relationship building with Jesus. Our working verse was:
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows— this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.“
Psalms 68:5-6
We prayed that those we served would have a continual relationship with the Lord after we left.
Remembering that Jesus did not come just so we could go to heaven, but so that we could bring heaven to earth. Jesus provides us away to have a relationship with the Father. Heaven is a benefit of having a relationship with the Father
We provided food, hygiene, clothing, outdoor gear to so many people today! Every friend the Lord sent, we served with Love and prayer.
I Loved watching people wait for certain people to pray with them. It was beautiful.
