Today's theme was freedom. As we celebrate our country's freedom, we wanted to celebrate and remind our friends of the greatest freedom there is Jesus.
We also reminded them that this provision is because God knows them and wants to make sure they are provided for; that He sees them and He loves them. And that they are as worthy as anyone to celebrate freedom and that His Freedom is available for them.
We fed, clothed, and provided hygiene items for around one hundred people today. The beauty -- was we prayed for nearly as many as we served.
It was a team effort today with All Saints Community Church, Life Church Mustang and Wings Special Needs Community and Hope For A Change. We had a full cookout with hamburgers, hotdogs, side dishes and desert, we had lots of clothes and hygiene. And some greatly appreciated watermelon. I believe that was the most popular item in the meal. Thank you Jack and Betty Lorenz for bringing it.
