January 27 outreach

What an amazing day we had. I know I say that everyday, but it is amazing whenever we get to serve the Lord.

Today was cold but it felt like a different kind of cold -- I'm not sure if it was because of the dampness in the air. So to see so many volunteers (especially so many new ones come out to serve) is just astonishing to me. Members of All Saints Community Church, Life Church in Mustang, and the Hope for a Change volunteers worked together loving our friends just as Jesus loved u.

The food provided by Belle Isle Restaurant & Pub was so good.

We were able to love all of our friends with prayers, community, and compassion. Along with food, clothing and supplies to beat the weather, they were able to see and feel that God is with them and sees them.

We put an emphasis on giving God their anxieties and burdens.

Today's verse was Psalm 55:22

”Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.“

I almost forgot: we had hot chocolate -- what a treat! The biggest hit today was the hot chocolate. It brought so many smiles. Sometimes we need to remember, that it's the little things that matter the most.

Thank you donors and prayer warriors.
