We met at the church as a group today to make brown bag lunches for our friends. Excited about the many new young faces that came today to help us make sandwiches and pack the bags.
We had a lot of clothing donated this week all of which was greatly appreciated. Our friends in the area recently lost everything they had because their homes were bulldozed by new owners of the land they lived on. So they are starting over. Prayer is asked for clear direction and peace for each of them
We explored the area finding new locations for them... and yes, God created good from this seemingly disaster. They have been spread out amongst 3 different camps and we got to meet some new friends. The highlight of this trip for me is that I got to meet 6 new friends. I was able to discuss who Jesus was and why He loved them. They were given Bibles. We talked about beginning to read the book of John. I will meet with them Wednesday night for more discussion with them.
120 sack lunches, hygiene articles, clothes and lots of prayers today. Successful day!
I also want to thank Nova, Veda and Hosanna fro the church the young ladies who raised and donated more money today bringing their total raised to over $100. This is amazing. The money they donated today will be used to buy a tent for friend who has recently become without shelter.
