August 12 Outreach

"God is not a mortal like me, so I cannot argue with Him or take Him to trial. If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together! The mediator could make God stop beating me, and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment. Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.”

Job 9:32-35 was our word today.

Our focus today was expressing to our friends that while it is a privilege to pray for them, they have the same power to pray. We often hear them express their unworthiness.  Today we wanted to remove that thought and persona, reminding them they have the same access to our Lord as anyone.

We continued to serve even in the rain. This amazing group of volunteers never stopped or complained ... just continued to pray and serve our a friends.

We had BBQ chicken and sides and cookies.  Lots of hygiene items and clothes were distributed and no one left hungry.
